The Plateau
From Mondays
The southeast bank of the Delmundo river rises slowly before breaking into increasingly rocky and broken foothills. These end 200 to 300 miles from the Delmundo, at the base of a plateau, running much of the length of the river. The plateau top ranges from a few hundred to over 3000 feet above the surrounding terrain, and its cliffs are largely impassable. Caves dot the cliffs, and a number of major rivers descend from the plateau via steep ravines or mighty waterfalls.
Little is known of the top of the plateau, though its thick, temperate forest is visible from miles away. Those who are aware of the existence of elves are likely to know that the bulk of these creatures dwell upon the plateau.
