Goblins

Goblins are small, ugly, wiry humanoids. They typically live underground, scavenging from other races. Goblins are squabblesome, uncreative, and cowardly. They adore meat and anything sweet, and possess a magpie-like attitude to anything shiny.

Talker

Each Goblin clan is lead by a single female, the Talker. The females are taller, stronger, and more intelligent than other goblins. Many of them are also skilled magicians. The talker is mother to all the younger members of the clan.

Valiant

The strongest, boldest, and most cunning goblin in the clan is gifted with the title of Valiant. The Valiant is the Talker's husband, and father of all the younger goblins.

Youngling

Goblin clans normally only contain a single female - their talker. Rarely, a daughter is born. While she is young, the youngling's mother teaches her all the secrets and skills a goblin woman needs, but when she reaches adulthood, she will leave the clan of her birth, to become a talker in her own right. She will either join a clan that has lost its talker, or found a new clan with young males splintering off from a large clan. No youngling ever replaces her mother as talker of her own clan - she is far too closely related to all the males to ever consider taking any of them as her valiant.
